Ubuntu LogoAre you unappeased with your Ubuntu theme? At best what you do is open the appearance tab, re-scaling and choosing background colors for each pic. Blah! I say it’s nothing but unproductive knob-twiddling. So how could you pull out all the stops?  Using Ubuntu myself I would love to help you folks to get some cool Ubuntu themes.

Nine ZgegBlog Ubuntu Themes

Nine of my themes were discovered from Detector Pro. The themes were taken from ZgegBlog. What caught me was the instructions in French, it was that feeling of language-blindness again.  Detector Pro had got all that deciphered in English to make the installation easy.

I’ll just go step-by-step with the themes

Step 1

Add the repository to your Software Sources.

Step 2

Go to System -> Administration -> Software Sources.
Click add the lines below according to the Ubuntu version you use:

For Ubuntu 8.04 users

deb hardy https://debian.vogelweith.com/ zgegthemes # Themes of ZgegBlog

For Ubuntu 8.10 users

deb https://debian.vogelweith.com/ intrepid zgegthemes # Themes of ZgegBlog

Step 3

Click on Add Source, then Close, and finally Reload

Now that you’ve got the themes its time to set them. For this go to System ->Preferences ->Theme and a Themes Preferences window will open. Choose your selection and you are done.
