Akai Re-Launches TV In India

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Akai, the Japanese electronics brand which was perhaps the ruling television brand during the nineties has relaunched its renovated television sets in the Indian market. The new range will consist of ultra slim LEDs, LCD High Definition and CRT televisions sets.

During the launch ceremony, Pranay Dhabhai, the Managing Director of Akai India said that the Akai team is very excited about the new business venture that they have launched in the country and they are sure of the fact that like before, India will again embrace the brand and help Akai to become one of the major players in the consumer durable electronics market. Akai is one of the leading brands of television sets around the world, popular for its sleek design and Japanese technology that is an integral part of every TV set. With LEDs and LCDs becoming a popular option in almost every home in India, Akai hopes to cash in on this aspect.

The company has launched three models of LED television sets and five models of LCDs in the country. Every new model will have features like the natural Light Technology with dynamic back light, to compensate with a glossy or a brushed steel finish, dynamic skin correction and motion compensation. Some of the television sets may also come with a Video USB. The new Akai television sets will be available in the price range of Rs. 17,990 to Rs. 54,990. The consumers can choose from a variety of sizes between 24″, 32″ and 42″.

It has been reported that the CRT Akai sets will be armed with energy efficient Green ICs and every new TV set will automatically adjust to the brightness, contrast and color for better picture quality.
