AT&T Drops Unlimited Data Plans for iPhone follows Steve Jobs Multi-Carrier Plans

Apple iPhone’s sole carrier AT&T has announced new data plans that has created much clatter among the existing and future iPhone customers. The announcements comes a day after Apple CEO Steve Jobs at D8 stopped short of divulging their palns for a more advantageous multi-carrier option. The largest providers of mobile telephony service in U.S has decided to drop its $30/month unlimited plan for new iPhone customers starting from June 7th. The new iPhone customers will have options of $15/mo(200MB) and $25/mo(2GB) data plans. The existing iPhone customers must be relieved to hear that they can continue to enjoy the unlimited plan for upgrade to a new iPhone.

With the new iPhone customers can select either a $15/month (200MB) or $25/month (2GB) data plans.

The existing customers can with their existing plan even if they choose to upgrade to a new model.

The new data plan changes will also be applicable to iPad. After two months AT&T is dropping the $29.99 unlimited data plan for new purchases to replace it with $25 for 2GB of data over 30 days plan.
