Anaconda Options Control PanelI am happy to announce the long awaited release of Anaconda theme for WordPress 2.x (and above) blogs. Your search for a good css based three column WordPress theme is finally over.

Anaconda uses flexible 3 column layout which is designed entirely with CSS. The center column and left sidebar are flexible and adjusts to browser size.

Anaconda comes with inbuilt support for 15 popular WordPress plugins out of the box. The theme is designed to work perfectly with these plugins. We have tested them for you so you don’t have to.

Anaconda provides 17 WordPress widgets for you to extensively customize your site without writing / modifying a single line of code. We have tested it with 20 widgets overall. We have widgetized all inbuilt functionalities of K2 theme.

Anaconda works without any configuration out of the box. It is also extensively customizable for those who need it. You can even include your own stylesheets, known as schmes. Two sample schemes are provided including vader.css.

Customizations can be easily done using the Anaconda Options control panel under Presentations menu.

Anaconda theme has built-in support for inline and sidebar asides. It optionally supports Ajax commenting, Live search, fixed width layout etc.

Great theme. I’ve customized it quite a bit and have really enjoyed digging through your code.

Thanks.

I really love the theme you’ve built, but we’re having trouble with the comments box. We (and our readers) have an issue with the comments box expanding off the right side of the screen when we try to enter text.

You can click on my Admin link above or enter: https://stokefire.com/blog/2006/10/03/credit-union-stays-afloat-sorry-i-got-nothin/ and try to add a comment. No need to actually hit enter - it’ll occur shortly after you begin typing.

Please let me know if you can replicate the problem and if there’s anything that can be done to fix it. Thanks!

We can make that an option for the next version. For now you have to change the code in theloop.php.

Awesome theme. Is there any way to only publish blurbs (summary) with links on the main page rather than entire articles?

Sorry for the snafu, my fault. I was editing the post in private mode and then either I forgot to publish it or more likely WP 2.x on publish doesn’t make a private post public like previous versions.

I tried testing with my Firefox browser, where I was logged in, and didn’t get any error. After a png snapshot from James (MacManx) I tried it in IE and voila, I found the same problem.

Thanks to all, specially James & Colin for finding the problem. Please try again. Everything should be working fine now.

Please try again. It should be fine now.

i’m getting the archive page ok, but i’m not sure it is doing what is intended - from the description on the page i gather i should be able to drill down to the post i want via selecting a category - there is nothing obvious showing on the page that would allow this

fixed the 404 problem - update permalinks

thanks - is working ok now - i’ll give it a workout over the next few days.

A couple of obvious issues-

There is a problem after activating the archive page - returns 404 error when i go there

I am using ie6 - livesearch remains partly hidden by right sidebar - that is right sidebar is on top of search details

https://anaconda.taragana.net/flexible-3-column-anaconda-theme-for-wordpress-released/ is still returning “Error 404 - Not Found”, as is the main blog page. However, the download link that you posted above works properly.

September 2, 2006: 11:10 pm

@Colin
Please download it and try it again.

It appears inadvertantly some spaces were added to functions.php, at the end. I have removed it. It should be fine now.

@Everyone
Please let me know the exact links which are giving you 404 error. I have tried the links and they are working for me.

Looking forward to hear from you.

September 2, 2006: 10:56 pm

Can you all try it again?

I am getting it fine without any errors!

Let me know how it goes.

Looking for a link to download a .zip for the theme. Visiting the demo site - the ‘blog’ link returns a 404 within the template.
