Facebook’s Zuckerman Realizes People don’t Want Privacy

facebook_logoAs per the latest video of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, people feel comfortable to share information with more people openly because social norm is changeing over the period of time. As opposed to the popular belief that users decide the social norm of facebook, in fact, Facebook decides what the social norm is going to be.

Hark the Facebook herald: “We view it as our role in the system to constantly be innovating and be updating what our system is to reflect what the current social norms are,” he said.

If you want to know how the social norms are changing, you should use Facebook’s policy change as a guide. He also thinks that most of the users of Facebook want to share their information in public. Zukerberg further added that the company  always has beginners’ mind so that it always thinks what it would have done if the company starts new and that drives the social norms.

Facebook founder Mark also says that in order to change social norms, you need very large number of audience so that they can be attractive to the advertisers as long as those advertisers can discover as much about your members as immediately as possible.

Then you can disclose your members that you are going to change the policy because that’s what they want. But they can not foresee it yet. On the contrary, you do. The beauty of great company is that they understand what the customers want. As per Zuckerberg, Facebooks fits the category.
