Gosh! Are you on a public computer surfing your cc account or delving into classifieds(confidential information)? Just stop it now, because there may be some prying eyes like Keloggers, Viruses, Trojans inside the PC. I know there are situations when you can’t avoid a public computer. But its always better to be safe than to be sorry. So remember these following steps.

Step 1

First open the task manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del. Now, check into the processes that are running. In case you are not sure about a task, go to Google and read about it.

Step 2

  • Get to the System Configuration utility to see the task that are loaded at start up.
  • To start this just type in msconfig in the Run box.

Step 3

Scan the most recent files in your hard disk with your anti-virus program. If the contents of any files are continuously updating, be careful, these may be logs of your key strokes which is being read by someone else!

Step 4

Keylogger detector are available on the Internet. Just Download an authentic one and run it.

Step 5

Check into the Windows registry for anomalies if you are sure of dealing with registry.
