TOKYO, (GaeaTimes.com)- Nissan Motors the third biggest Japanese car making company has announced today that it will recall 540,000 cars from North America. The company has announced that the recall is being carried out due to some fault in the concerned car model’s brake pedal pins, and also in the fuel gauging system.

According to reports, the Nissan Motors has exclaimed that the partial disengagement of the brake pins might lead to faults in the braking system. As of yet no reports of accidents have been lodged due to this cause. Nissan Motors has declared that it will be recalling five models which were manufactured between 2008 and 2010. These include Nissan Motors‘ Titan Truck and Armada Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). Due to the fuel-gauge system problem it will recall six car models which will include Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56 made between the years 2005 to 2008. According to reports, the faulty fuel-gauge system might show incorrect fuel store reading at a higher mileage level. This might lead to a problem for the car’s driver as he might run out of fuel without prior notice.

Nissan Motors has revealed to the reporters that while 179,000 cars will be recalled from U.S. alone, 25,800 cars will be recalled from other regions. The company will also recall cars from South Africa though no problem has been found in the cars. The company seems in no mood to take any chance with its reputation. According to reports, Nissan motors has requested customers to visit the Nissan dealership with their cars and get a visual inspection done after which if needed the company will repair the car.

I own a 2006 Sentra, and I discovered that there is a problem with the electrical system. The brake lights and several dashboard lights are not working. Is there a recall on the model for that problem?

Nissan need to step up their game. I compare them to Honda anyday but they need to clean it up.

Nissan is joining the recall race. Does not want to be left behind. It is following Toyota, Maruti Suzuki and Honda and the others who recently recalled their vehicles.

While Nissan must be frustrated… I know that Toyota is happy that someone else is needing to recall besides them for a change!
