School making sissies out of kids?

An interesting article on school policy of punishing both the attacker and the defender. I agree with her to a point, but when she goes of in tangent on trying to justify the attack on Iraq because Mr. Hussein has commited some crimes and it is right for US to attack Iraq, it just makes no sense.
I guess she has an agenda to sell. She tries to equate the school policy with some kind of leftist agenda and not being able to see the difference between good and evil and all such c***.
I understand the part that it is probably a mistake for schools to punish the child who was attacked by a bully. I can also see that how difficult it may be for the school to identify and punish the bully, knowing as they know of so many vultures moving around err. lawyers.
However what has that got to do with distinguishing between good and evil! This preoccupation with evil looks like a malady with certain people!
The school district may be making a mistake, but I am sure it is just a mistake without any ulterior motives behind it.
And as for US right to attack Iraq because Saddam killed many people! That’s BS. Who gave US the authority to attack sovereign countries, just because US thinks they are doing something wrong! That’s a stupid and dangerous mindset!
It is the same mindset which extremists have. They think US is evil and they think that perpetrating violence against US will eliminate the evil!
Don’t preach something which you wouldn’t like on yourself.

“Don’t preach something which you wouldn’t like on yourself.” Angsuman> Nobody heard the cry of the damsel in distress, but everybody saw the knight in shining armour jumping in to save. So people start wondering if all of this was for Ms. Oil? |

“Don’t preach something which you wouldn’t like on yourself.” Amen, brother! I think they used to call that The Golden Rule. |
