Waze, real Time Traffic App Raises $25 Million in Fundings

One of the few exciting startups with a killer product Waze, that monitors traffic in real time has announced a $25million Series B. The most recent in the long list of investors like Vertex Venture Capital, Magma Venture Partners being Qualcomm Ventures. The last funding it received was a $12 million last march. The money is speculatively help in its relocation to Paolo Alto from Tel Aviv and also support the Silicon Valley recruitment.

The company representative said

First, we’re already generating revenue on licensing crowd-sourced, real-time data. Second, now that our community is large and growing, we have been rolling out our first tests in advertising. Location-based advertising has gone through several iterations and we’re taking it in an entirely new direction

He also mentioned that the company is looking at its geo gaming platform for expansions. The app features traffic updates in real time along with some Social gaming for good measure.
