windows-7-hackWe have been focusing on Windows 7 RC since its release in May. To make your Windows 7 experience easy and more interesting we provided the top 12 Windows 7 Hacks. Now this time we’ve got a cool hack to customize Windows 7 logon Button Set. This hack lends your User Interface a panoramic look with darker background images. This is a simple hack that requires you to amend the registry. Once done, it could bring about a commendable change to UI, if you have already customized the logon wallpaper.

For this simple hack you need to follow the steps provided here

Step 1

Open the registry editor- go to the Start button, open the search box and type regedit

Step 2

Create a new DWORD called ButtonSet and allot it a value between 0-2(use for 2 for darker backgrounds). Either delete the key or set it to 0 to revert back to the default setting.

The changes are applied immediately. Enjoy playing with Windows 7 and let us know if you liked it.

create a dword under which hkey?

hkey_classes_root
hkey_current user
hkey_local_machine
hkey_users
hkey_current_config

you really ought to research your articles a little more.
