How to speed up compilation times in Linux / CentOS / RHEL / Fedora using Ramdisk, much faster than SSD / SAS
Compilation time is the time required by a compiler to successfully transform source code written in a programming language into an executable program.

CentOS / RHEL / Fedora (same parentage) has the nasty habit of installing some i386 packages even though the corresponding i686 (for 32 bit machines) or x86_64 (for 64 bit machines) packages have already been installed.

The reason for this article is simple.

After recent updates in CentOS 5.4, I found that Synergy-Plus is crashing whenever I try to type anything in the client desktop / screen.
