GENEVA - A Swiss organization has awarded Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales 100,000 Swiss francs ($104,000) for "democratizing the access to knowledge." The Im Grueene Foundation said Friday the free online encyclopedia "revolutionized the access to knowledge as man's most important resource" because it allows users to also be contributors.

Solar Plane Makes Aviation History
PAYERNE, SWITZERLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- A solar plane which took off in the early hours of Wednesday has finally landed in Switzerland after hovering over its skies through the night.

PAYERNE, Switzerland - An experimental solar-powered plane landed safely Thursday after completing its first 24-hour test flight, proving that the aircraft can collect enough energy from the sun during the day to stay aloft all night.
