Believe it or Not: Internet Search Traffic Drops Down by 2%!

Search engines are finally ranked by AC- Nielson for this month and anyone who has EVER come to the internet knows the result already. Anyway, our work is to tell you what is known with stats. So here it is. Google (Nasdaq: GOOGLE) keeps getting stronger, and Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YAHOO) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MS) as usual are going down. I wonder why do people use MSN search and for what! Though AOL has much to be inspired.

Interesting Point

There were nearly 7.8 trillion searches performed in the United States last month, according to the study. That’s 2% lower than the traffic a year ago. Did you ever imagine that with such exponentially growing internet world the search will one day go down.

Does that mean that people have actually become more tech savvy and know where to go exactly! Well that sounds inspiring enough. But does that mean over the period of time we can see less revenues from advertisements by Google and other search engines?

We will have to keep a close look at this stat because that has every reason to take internet to a new (dark or light) dimension.

Happy searching.
