I have started covering some of the blogs I love to read, bloggers who resonate with me at some level. In the first article I covered Guy Kawasaki’s blog. Today I will talk about Russell Beattie’s Notebook.

Old Russ is a veteran in Java world and you can also find his posts on javablogs aggregator. He straddles between Java and mobile world. He has a flair for blogging and writes some really interesting material. Not always, mind you. He writes quite some filler posts too and irrelevant details about his travels and shiny baubles in mobile and Mac world.

Overall I love to read his blog and would very much recommend it. This post was prompted by reading his article on Web 2.0 business model, aptly named WTF 2.0. This article is very close to my heart. It is time someone spoke about the re-emergence of shaky Web 1.0 business models spurred on by the success of companies like Flickr. Read this to get an idea about his blog in general.

PS. In the next article in the series I will cover James Huff’s blog - MacManx.
