googleGoogle search has been tweaked and as you have already guessed it, its gone better. According to a recent post from the official google blog, Google search is now able to target more queries, more languages, and make our suggestions more relevant to what you actually need to know. The long queries are given a look too with a noticeable change in the results. Let’s see what are the new things Google has in store this time.

1. Other Relevant Search Topics

Search for something in Google search bar and scroll down, you will see a field named Searches related to: Search_item. And there you will find a lot of relevant results not exactly but related to the searched item. I searched for Java and I got java update, java plugin, java vista, microsoft java etc as the related searches. It sure helps a lot if you are doing a thorough research of some kind where you need to keep learning about something and also to a common user who doesn’t know the what to search for specifically. Now Google provides him with just that.

2. More Accuracy on Longer Queries

Google always used to judge a query by its keywords. So, often in longer queries, the results would have been less than what we expect from Google. Now as Google says,

Suppose you were looking for information about Earth’s rotation around the sun, and specifically wanted to know about its tilt and distance from the sun. So you type all of that into Google: [earth's rotation axis tilt and distance from sun]. A normal-length snippet wouldn’t be able to show you the context for all of those words, but with longer snippets you can be sure that the first result covers all those topics. In addition, the extra line of snippets for the third result shows the word “sun” in context, suggesting that the page doesn’t talk about Earth’s distance from the sun:

This is the difference between Microsoft and Google. They both have experienced (MS) and are enjoying(Google) a fair share of monopoly in the technology market. But the reason why Google has more chances of being invincible is that, they are constantly improving and upgrading their products. Tell me when was the last time you thought that Google is idle? And that is why, it will be so hard to catch up with Google in the first place for MS and Yahoo. Let alone wining the battle.
