Absurd may the title look, but it is true. In the battle of browsers and who gets ahead of others, two types people may find this very suitable. One who doesn’t use internet too often but for some casual works and to have a browser is a luxury for him. The other who have tried them all but satisfied with none. So, here is a simple trick which is good for anyone to try for the matter of fact.

1. Open Notepad

2. Click on tab Help > Help Topics

3. In Help Topics Tab > Right Click in the blue bar > then choice Jump to URL…

4. Type in the web address you want to open, you have to use “https://”

5. Now you can browse the internet like normal

Cool?

You are correct IE runs in the background; check task manager and iexplore.exe will be running

Well, you are opening a “browser”, the CHM viewer control, which may even be a version of IE.

It seems to me like this trick just uses IE in a different container. I was able to log in to my Gmail using it, so it is able to run Javascript.

Also, while cool, it still seems useless. It is still a browser, just a very minimal one.
