Omaha’s KeyOn Communications says it’s buying broadband business of TS Wireless in Illinois

OMAHA, Neb. — KeyOn Communications Holdings Inc. of Omaha says it has bought nearly all the wireless broadband assets of TS Wireless in Illinois.

KeyOn said in a news release Wednesday that TS Wireless is a division of Technology Specialists Group, Inc., which is based in Champaign, Ill.

Terms were not disclosed.

KeyOn provides wireless broadband, satellite video and voice over Internet protocol services in a dozen Midwestern and Western states.

KeyOn vice president Jason Lazar says the purchase of TS Wireless increases KeyOn’s presence in Illinois and that KeyOn is looking into several more Illinois acquisitions.

A spokesman for Technology Specialists Group did not immediately return a call Wednesday from The Associated Press.
