spotify According to the Dutch news report, the hot streaming music Spotify is supposed to launch their service in Netherlands on May 18 th. Currently, Spotify operate in Britain, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Finland. But, as of yet, they do not provide service in US. Currently their CTO is visiting US to look for new servers. Tobias Edström, manager for Spotify Netherlands told Music blog Vpro.nl that “I have been here since January working on the launch and searching for an office. Meanwhile my sales and account manager have also come over.”

There is a high penetration of Internet in Netherlands. That’s why it is expected to be a potentially good market for Spotify. However, Spotify delayed its launch there because it was looking for a local partner like an ISP or cable operator but ultimately decided to do it independently.
