Obama to have news conference on Wednesday

WASHINGTON — The White House has announced on its Twitter page that President Barack Obama will have a prime-time news conference on Wednesday.

The White House on Friday said that Obama will meet with reporters at the White House at 9 p.m. The tech-savvy White House announced it on the popular micro-blogging service.

Obama last had a news conference at the White House on June 23. He took questions during his recent trip to Russia, Italy and Ghana.
