Valsartan, commercially known as Diovan, a drug that controls blood pressure and reduces heart risk, also appears to protect against diabetes, especially in high-risk people, according to new research presented at the American Society of Hypertension's Twentieth Annual Scientific Meeting and Exposition (ASH 2005) by a University of Michigan physician who helped lead the study.
Bobbie Johnson of Guardian (UK based newspaper) thinks: I understand that news operations are expensive things (I know, I work in one), but the NYT - which has a prestigious standing on the web - seems to be intent on undermining its own credibility with abandon. What I was expecting from him was to outline, given his mention of his knowledge of the news industry and the associated costs, a plan of action for New York Times. Obviously the so called "credibility" doesn't directly equate to dollars, otherwise NYT wouldn't have gone this route. We will analyse this "credibility" aspect in further details and why for New York Times going for-pay was the best option available. But first lets see what TechDirt, a well visited (and hence credible?) online blog has to say on this issue.
Lego A good article from JavaWorld which describes how you can build intelligent robots that can learn and show emergent behavior. It uses artificial neural networks.
An excellent article describing Blackberry architecture and two application models (The browser-based model or Custom Java Application). The browser-based model allows developers to focus on developing back-end content in a standard markup language, such as the Wireless Markup Language (WML) or the compact Hypertext Markup Language (cHTML). Using existing browsers' client capabilities frees the developer from worrying about the client interface – but it does limit client functionality to what the browser provides, and there's no support for offline processing.
