Sun Microsystems will acquire SeeBeyond, a vendor of application integration and business process management (BPM software) middleware, for $387 million. SeeBeyond's products fill the key hole in Sun's Java Enterprise System platform (J2EE) and are technically compatible with Sun's Java software.
Enterprise buyers understand that their CRM software vendor selection decision has long-term consequences. However, vendor alternatives are becoming fewer, and buyers are not fully satisfied with the level of support from leading CRM software providers in working collaboratively to achieve long-term business objectives. To help enterprises make the best choice, Forrester evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the four top enterprise CRM software suites vendors across 177 criteria.
Paul Mutton of jibbler.org had a bad experience with Sys-Con. Not only they didn't remunerate him (as per agreement) they also didn't provide him with free copies as promised. Then they went ahead to sell his article for 5.95 USD over Amazon. As of this writing however Sys-Con appears to have withdrawn the articles from Amazon.com.
