I was feeling sick and tired reading the sad reports on the death and devastation initiated by Katrina and the lawlessness, lack of timely help and administrative apathy that followed it. And then it struck me. We are going to see another war. This time it is war against Nature, no less. 9/11 massacare was (blatantly?) leveraged by Bush to launch his "war against terror", a rhetoric-laden excuse for starting war against Afganistan and Iraq (oilgate?). While the "war" was on terrorism hasn't reduced (in fact terrorism tripled last year), Bush was also covertly waging a war against nature. He has taken several steps to ensure greater US participation in polluting nature, promulgated anti-environmental policies, propagated strange fibs for undermining anti-pollution efforts wrt. co2 levels etc.
