SearchStatus extension for Firefox is a cool extension which shows Google as well as Alexa rankings for each page. However it synchronizes between rank updates in each tab and literally hangs your browser for extended periods when you are working with multiple tabs. In short it simply makes multi-tabbing unusable. The cpu utilization isn't high which indicates that it is a synchronization issue or there is a deadlock problem in code. As of this time I strongly recommend that you stay away from Firefox. It was behind all my Firefox slowness problems.
SessionSaver is a popular Firefox extension which allows you to seamlessly save existing session and restore it automatically at startup. You can also name the session and retrieve them anytime in future. Unfortunately SessionSaver isn't available in Firefox 2.0.x and is likely not to be made available. However there are two good alternatives.
