Here is the list of blog ping servers I use. Ping servers are services which are automatically notified after a blog post is published. They help to increase the exposure of your blog to a larger audience. The list below is filtered from various online lists after I checked their current availability. I also removed services which are already pinged by pingomatic as redundant ping will make this servers rather unhappy. So without further ado here is my power blog ping list:
https://rpc.pingomatic.com
https://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates
https://ping.myblog.jp
https://ping.bitacoras.com
https://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/
https://bblog.com/ping.php
One of the good reason is that one (or more) of the servers you ping after you publish a post has gone down or is overloaded. When you publish a new post, WordPress automatically notifies the configured ping servers that your site has been updated.
For last few days my blog postings were taking virtually forever. So I explored and identified the culprit:
1. They, for all purposes, do not have customer support:
There is a number (1800-424-1600) but when there are problems in the line, nobody picks it up.
In the rare cases when somebody does pickup and answer, they can never solve any problem. They will just take the complaint and give you a number.
The complaints are never attended; they are silently closed.
