It's Great to be B! I am also exploring the Blood type Diet by Peter D'Adamo. I did the Family Tree DNA test. Highest definitions is in men having Y Cromo., that women do not. But my wife was adopted and we found her to rein from the eastern Baltic. Gotta love Science...

firstly, koreans & japanese are north-east asians..this is kinda funny that people allowed themselves to be influenced by blood types..my blood type is b+ but it doesn't matched mine. But is this really true? is there any solid proof???

This is very stupid, and also racist. There is no scientific evidences to support this claim about people's character base on blood type. The are factors that determine person character. It is like saying on race is superior than the other. For example, living in a stupid society that believes in nonsense like that. Japanese scholar Takeji Furukawa was the one who influence the Emperor of Japan during World War II to genocide all people in Asia to expand the Japanese Empire. But I guess it is a way to make money for these believers in pop culture. I think it is funny. I have laugh and tell people who are stupid for believing in it.It just the stupid ones who believe in those nonsense.

being B- for a woman is kinda crappy when it comes to wanting to have kids. My doctor told me if I would've been negative we would need treatment to get pregnant. Something about the blood not being compatible.. dunno. For that indian guy, I think B+ is the most common blood type in India, after O+.

Check out many of the Korean "vital stats" websites, after birth date, place, home town, etc. you will see BLOOD TYPE listed quite often. Many must be inclined to belive it or they would not list it. After living in Korea for ten years (4 then 6) I think it is just another of the many cute, but unfounded "truths" you can find in any part of the world.

First, the guy who called Korea and Japan as "South Asians" is idiotic. No wonder he has Blood Type B ... hehe but true. Get the fact straight. Korea and Japan ... they are "East Asians" (North-East Asians). Actually, AB are worse, in some ways. They are either brilliant or just insane as in "crazy"...hehe.

Haha, my blood type is AB and I'm a scorpio, but the thing is, I'm probably the most predictable, un-mysterious person anyone could ever know. That's ridiculous. Quite frankly, I fit the personality of A and libra more, gahaha!

What I was thinking, maybe, is that so many Koreans and Japanese people are raised in a society that has these ideas about blood types, and those ideas might in fact shape a bit of how they are? Like, if you are B+ (like I am) and you grow up hearing about all these traits that you apparently have, then you WILL start to see them in yourself too, and there's a good chance that you will develop them further (whether subconsciously or not). I mean, everyone has all of these traits... but when certain ones are centered out and saying "these ones are you" then you will focus more on those ones, and both you and others will notice those traits more when they see you. So perhaps in a way a Korean person might see someone acting a certain way, be like 'they are type A' only to find out that they are! Because that person has kind of developed those traits further, because they're expected of them... Does that make sense? Like, I know that I'm B+, and I 'm all 'yeah... it all goes' though some of the traits actually don't, but then I think wait.. maybe I'm just not aware of them yet. And I bet if someone were to switch around the blood types, so that O meant conservative and kind, and B meant strong leader and optimistic, then people of those blood types would still go 'oh look, wow, that's just like me!' because really, we all have a little bit of those traits... all of us could be any of those. But yeah, after rambling for nine million years... if you are around certain expectations for long enough, then you will find that you are acting those expectations out, and you will be seeing them in everything you do, and turning a blind eye to all the others... blah.

The blood-type theory is well accepted by almost ALL Koreans. Some may even say that they do not seriously consider it, but the preconception about blood types are inevitable because it is like religion - it brainwashes people to a certain degree

i'm lebanese/syrian born in the states and my blood is b+. definitely the best blood type out there hehe :) i think that most americans (that I know) have no idea what their type is or are even inclined to find out. glad i busted outta that bubble.

Just "B positive" Angsuman. Ok j/k. Ran across your article when researching what it meant to have B+ blood. (Mine's B+ too.) Interesting to learn this about other cultures.

That's cool. So being an Indian I don't suck even though my blood type is B+ :)

I believe the korean blood thing only works with koreans... not sure about japanese. i think our blood is "pure" (not racist, just trying to explain) and ive been able to guess all my close korean friends blood type however... it does not seem to work on white or blacks or south east asians ne whooo im korean too so it was just my observation

The piece was written in amusement. I am not really concerned because: 1. I am not in the (marriage) market 2. I am not a Korean

Chillax, dude. Culture and social phenomena aren't that easy to pin down. Your analysis, while interesting, is at best limited in understanding and doesn't allow enough leeway for cultural considerations. Not too many people subscribe to this anyway, so just chill.

Are you serious?! Wow, so it's true then for type B men in Korea like their movie, huh? But what about if you're a female (which I am) in Korea or any other country? Would you be treated alike?

The only potential problem you might run into is the rhesus positive vs. rhesus negative thing during pregnancy. But since it'll hardly be the first time it's happened in the history of mankind, your doctor'll be able to take care of that as a matter of course.

Type O with mixed family
March 2, 2007: 6:21 am
Hi I am really interested in this Blood Type theory, compatibility etc. I am an O but am married to an AB so my children (2) will be A or B (they are to be tested soon). I have had an increasingly difficult time in my marriage and for some time I've thought that my children are just different from me - thinking it was my parental skills that were letting me down. I wonder how much Blood Type differences can explain maritial and other domestic problems. Do you know if there has been any research done on this. If not, I might just start...

First I've heard of this .. (I'm B+ ,BTW) .. Personally I consider a blood type that so optimistcally says "be positive" to be a quality worth cherising :) - But I suppose I'll need to keep that to myself if I ever go searching for love in Korea !
