Today when I was trying to install createrepo and repoview, I repeatedly got this weird error: Error: Missing Dependency: python(abi) = 2.4. The problem is strange at first sight because yum is designed to include missing dependencies. The solution is very simple, just run:
rpm --rebuilddb
It was very frustrating to watch DragonBall Z dubbed poorly in Hindi in Cartoon Network, India today. It is murder, plain and simple. DBZ sucks in Hindi and that too with a really sad voiceover of Raditz. Finally Cartoon Network started airing a decent serial and they goofed up again by providing Hindi dubbing, oh the horror!
I am evaluating different Groupware packages (like Microsoft Exchange) for Linux. Can you please give some recommendations? So far I have come across Scalix, eGroupware, Open-XChange and The Horde project. Have you used any of them for business?
I am using a Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4 GHZ x 2), one of the best processor (review) in market today, with 2GHZ of DDR 2 667 RAM (read about my dream computer setup), and yet Firefox manages to hog 97% of the CPU in no time at all. I admit that I open too many windows but its is still extreme, don't you think? So I set upon to find a solution to the CPU hogging problem and you will be surprised to know that it is really very simple.
To monitor CPU temperature in Linux you will need to install lm_sensors package and then install gnome-applet-sensors (assuming you are using gnome) to get a nice graphical display. The devil is in the details. The shipped lm_sensors doesn't work on Fedora Core 6 with 2.6 kernels. It also doesn't support core 2 duo.
