Aircel INQ Offer Unveiled

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Leading mobile service operator Aircel has grand plans up its sleeves for the present year and it has already announced a tie up with handset maker INQ. Aircel presently operates in 18 circles in India and it wants to start operations in five circles so that it can earn the status of a pan Indian operator within this year. Aircel started operating in the country 11 years back and it tasted success in Chennai and Eastern India in particular within years of commencing operation. Its customer base has crossed 25 million and it is still growing. To expand its network in the country Aircel wants to invest a whopping $1.4 billion in 2010. It is also going to bid for 3G and Wimax shortly.
To offer the users more flexibility it as tied up with INQ. The latter is a part of Hutchison Whampoa based in Hong Kong. The INQ phones are social networking application centric and the craze of social networking in India has prompted Aircel to tie up with INQ as it is being assumed. The prices of Smart phones have taken a nosedive in the last year and the INQ handsets offered by Aircel have been priced accordingly. The INQ CHAT 3G and MINI 3G are now available from Aircel.
Aircel will sell these INQ models from its numerous outlets in the country. The models come with a number of widgets that make accessing online applications easier. Both the handsets are priced much below the psychological 10,000 INR mark and hence a lot of young users will be attracted towards these handsets.
