TEZPUR, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Indian defense scientists have come up with a rather unusual technique to deal with extremists by taking into account the chilli ‘bhut jolokia,’ which is known to be the hottest spice worldwide. If it leaves you wondering that how on earth can a spice be used to deal with anti-social elements, then the research undertaken by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) can shed some light on the matter.

According to trials that have been run by the Indian defense scientists, the chilli ‘bhut jolokia‘ when blended with hand grenades can turn into a rather potent weapon which can be used by defense officials in their fight against extremists. It has been revealed that the tests that had been undertaken by DRDO researchers by combining ‘bhut jolokia‘ with the hand grenades have been fruitful due to which the chilli grenade have been transferred to the defense forces. Apart from helping the defense forces to cope with the terrorist using chilli grenades, defense scientists have expressed hopes that it would also come handy to the authorities while handling rioters and dispersing unruly crowds during mass protests.

Meanwhile, R.B. Srivastava, the director of the DRDO, has revealed that the demands for the hand grenades with ‘bhut jolokia‘ would be placed depending on the requirements of the defense forces. At the same time, the senior scientist also pointed out that it would not be surprising if soon there is a global demand for these chilli grenades given the fact that it can prove to be very helpful in case of low-intensity wars.
