Bsnl Evdo Data Card Now With 3G Support

NEW DELHI, India (GaeaTimes.com)-BSNL which is known to be India’s largest telecom service provider, has declared the availability of Bsnl EVDO data card with 3g support all over India. BSNL is the very first company to have come up with the 3g service to be launched in the country. However, at the initial phases the service will be limited to a few handful of cities in the country. BSNL EVDO modem is a USB based device which can be used for both PC’s & laptops. The data card is capable of providing a high speed internet upto 2.4 Mbps with Rev 0 and 3.1 Mbps on Rev A configuration.

The impressive factor in this story is the price rate and the payment charges where the consumers shall have to pay Rs.3, 500 as a onetime activation fee. Beside the purchase option there is also provision for rental basis with a monthly subscription charge of Rs. 200. For anyone opting for a 2.4 Mbps speed, the charges would be slightly higher as of Rs.550.

The speed would vary depending upon the distance of the consumer location from the exchange. Activation charges for unlimited EVDO will incur a cost of Rs. 500. The Internet connect card sale price is tagged at Rs. 3500 with a security deposit of Rs.1000 to be paid before the service gets activated .The security deposit thus paid is refundable one and will be handed over to the consumer once he plans to back off from the service or choose to discontinue BSNL evdo data card services. The Minimum hire period for the device is three months with no other user charges applicable.
