Is This Image Original and Never Edited Before? JpegSnoop can Answer

I found this great utility while surfing through the internet the other day. We all get to see different pictures in a day’s work. Esp with the advent of online social networking and data sharing, we get a lot of photos which we have no other way but to trust and keep. What if I give you a software that will tell you if the picture has been edited before or not? Every digital image contains a lot of information which you can not see. JPEGsnoop is designed to decode the inner details of JPEG and Motion AVI files. To determine whether a photo has been edited, JPEGsnoop uses the signature stored in its internal database for the camera model used to capture the image against a large number of compression signatures.
What is even more interesting is that, it will tell you from which camera has the snap been taken probably. Its a wonderful feature for a camera enthusiast. This information is pretty important for you to know which camera models produce better JPEG images so that you can choose a right camera to suit to your preference.
