NEW YORK — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Potash Corp., down $4.05 at $93.09
The Canadian fertilizer company slashed its third-quarter and full-year 2009 profit forecast because of lagging sales volume.
Granite Construction Inc., down $1.71 at $32.10
An analyst cut his rating for the civil contractor and producer of construction materials, saying it isn’t getting enough new business.
Lennar Corp., down 52 cents at $16.02
The homebuilder reported a wider loss in its fiscal third quarter, but executives say the company will be profitable next year.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc., up 80 cents at $50.91
An analyst said expansion in emerging markets will fuel earnings and revenue growth and gave Wal-Mart an “outperform” rating.

Dell Inc., down 68 cents at $16.01
Dell plans to buy technology services company Perot Systems Corp. for about $3.9 billion as it tries to expand beyond the PC business.
Celgene Corp., up $2.65 at $55.19
An analyst said the company’s shares could stage a recovery by the end of the year on increased use of the cancer drug Revlimid.
Jack in the Box Inc., down 85 cents at $21.09
The San Diego-based fast food chain was downgraded to “sector perform” from “outperform” on the belief that sales are slowing.
OmniVision Technologies Inc., up 32 cents at $16.93
An analyst upgraded the chip maker to its highest rating and said it’s taking market share from a major competitor.
