SAN FRANSICCO (GaeaTimes.com)- Sonic the Hedgehog 4 which is often code-named as Project Needlemouse is an episodic video game which is a part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. Sega had first announced about Sonic 4: Episode 1 on September 9, 2009. According to reports, it is a 2 dimensional downloadable game with 3 dimensional visual.

Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog 4, is reportedly a sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. It could be played on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Earlier Sega had announced that the game is kind of going back to Sonic’s 2 dimensional roots. It had further said that in the Hedgehog 4, episode 1,the blue hedgehog will be the only character who will play.

It is known that the game will have resemblance with earlier episodes like Sonic and Knuckles. However, the Hedgehog 4, episode 1 has a new story. When asked about Project Needlemouse or the Hedgehog 4, 1st episode, the associate brand manager Ken Balough said, the game is going to be very similar to the earlier versions. It is like the first part but with a much larger adventure. He added, when Sonic 3 was released by Sega, it dealt with the part 1 of the story which saw its conclusion in Sonic and Knuckles. Similarly, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is a story with a bigger adventure. It is only the first chapter. He said, he is sure that fans will be eagerly waiting for episode 2. The video version of Project Needlemouse aka the Hedgehog 4, episode 1 is surely going to keep the fans hooked.
