The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also accepted the recommendations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to allow the service providers the liberty to choose the technology of their choice in the implementation of the foreign investment service. However, some rules have been imposed despite having accepted the TRAI regulation on mobile television. It has been suggested that the service providers use no other technology than the digital ones, and also that they adhere to the rules of the International Telecommunication Union and the Telecom Engineering Center of India.
