This is a very strange selection. Development on GNU SQL Server has been stopped 6(?) years ago? And if HSQLDB is included, H2 should be included as well. |

There are two other open source databases that should be included are much more stable an production ready that several of the ones listed: Sqlite |

For Linux users out there, they’d probably suggest MySQL, however I’m a big fan of MS SQL Server. They’re both based on the SQL-92 standard with a bunch of additional features added. Transact SQL is a reasonably easy instruction language to learn and with the introduction of the Management Studio Interface, 2008 Express Edition of SQL Server is easy to install and easy to play with (since for the most part, that’s the best way to learn Software).Really a nice post. |
