According to the independent study conducted by the world's second largest Mobile app store, GetJar, the mobile apps is expected to cross $17.5 billion market by 2012. The number of downloads of mobile application will jump from 7 billion in 2009 to nearly 50 billion in 2012. The study further says that mobile internet will beat desktop internet in the near future. Also, 17% GetJar users spend more time on mobile internet compared to desktop internet.
