NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Bharti Airtel which is a leading GSM provider in India has signed deal with Novatium, a reputed cloud computing provider to expand its broadband user base in India. Under this pact, Novatium would offer ‘Airtel Net PC’ for the users of Airtel Broadband services in India. The Airtel representatives said that initially the cloud computing service will be offered to the customers of Airtel in 11 major cities. It will be an easy to use plug and play sort of a service which is targeted mostly at the middle income category. There will be three plans that the customers will be able to avail. The entry level plan is named Airtel Net PC Plus plan A which is offered at INR 4999. The buyers will get a USB keyboard and Mouse along with the Nova Navigator device. The customers of the second plan named Net PC Plus B will have to churn out an amount of INR 8999. They will get a LCD monitor with the other devices. The last plan is available at INR 10,999 which offers the Net PC with a HDD.

The existing customers of Airtel Broadband will get these offers from any Airtel outlet. Alok Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of Novatium Solutions is of the opinion that it will sell well in the areas where Broadband service has not made much inroad. As of now just 7 million people use broadband internet in India and this figure is expected to grow rapidly.

Airtel Broadband is likely to benefit from this tie up. It will be able to grab a larger pie of the broadband market in India.
