Alliance Broadband Unlimited 512 Kbps Plan - Thoughts?
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkSunday, April 29, 2007
I have a love-hate relationship with Alliance Broadband, mostly hate. I took their service twice or thrice and ended up dropping them in favor of BSNL Dataone Broadband. The hate was mostly from poor connectivity in the past. Today I noticed they have a attractive (from Indian standpoint) package:
Super Executive Pack
- Bandwidth: 512 Kbps
- Access time: Any Time
- Monthly usage: Unlimited
- Validity: 30 Days
- Price: Rs 1399 / month
It is a significantly better deal compared to current BSNL unlimited plan for 256 Kbps at Rs. 900 / month, provided we get the bandwidth as promised (shared bandwidth).
I am considering either Alliance Broadband or Tata Indicom for a second broadband connection. What would you recommend? Do you have any recent experience with Alliance Broadband. Please let me know.

ya,i support..ALLIANCE is a totally fraud company.I am a current subscriber.I am using their 256kbps Zoom plan (Unlimited). They are advertising this one as 256kbps,but in real its only 15 to 20kbps during downloading. At one words they are the greatest lyre in the world. So I send a message to all the viewer that not to take this connection. |

Alliance broadband IS fraud. I am facing great connectivity problem. If there is no connectivity at 8 PM, you wont get it back before 11 AM next day (This is if you are lucky). I have no connectivity for three weeks now. Decided to go to the Consumer Forum with this. But I must say there is very little evidence in this case. |

it is totally fraud.i am a current subscriber of rs 800 package (unlimited at 256).iam tryin to get my refund.they provide me an daily average speed of 55-95.they say that the speed range is 40-160 and that they advertise it as 256kbps.this misleading, fraud intending advertising (by showing cheaper tarrifs) is leading many people in their trap. |
