Autodesk raises low end of 2Q guidance range

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Architecture and engineering software maker Autodesk Inc. raised the lower end of its fiscal second-quarter guidance range Tuesday ahead of an investor event citing better demand.

The company now expects earnings of 14 cents to 17 cents per share, up from its earlier outlook of 12 cents to 17 cents a share.

Excluding items, it expects 25 cents to 28 cents per share. This compares with average analyst expectations of 27 cents, according to Thomson Reuters.

Autodesk expects revenue between $445 million and $460 million. Its earlier outlook was for revenue of $435 million to $460 million. Analysts are expecting $454.8 million.

The company’s second quarter ends in July.
