Garmin Call Center Coming Up

KANSAS (GaeaTimes.com)- Garmin AT Inc which is a subsidiary of the famous GPS device manufacturer Garmin Ltd is going to open a technical support center in Salem’s Garmin AT facility. The new center is meant to augment the current technical support centers of the company. It will have a capacity of 200 workers. The construction of the new technical support center will be complete by next year as the company has said. The announcement was made by the company on Monday. It will be located close t the Salem airport. From the next month the company will begin a recruitment drive at a career fair for taking the recruits at the new center.

The company will also opt for a temporary work space to cater to the need of the holiday season. Once the new building is made the employees will be shifted there said a Garmin representative. Garmin AT makes navigation equipment especially for the aviation sector. With the new facility Garmin AT will be able to serve its customers better, the company officials said. The company will require more bandwidth for the new technical support center coming up at Salem.

The upcoming Garmin tech support centered will be meant for consumer electronics segment. For the residents of Salem this may mean the creation of fresh job opportunities. The center will have state of the art infrastructure and equipments as per the standard of the company. Reportedly Garmin has got special tax concessions and enterprise zone break for choosing the site at Salem. The company has set January as the month of operation commencement in the new center.
