Harley-Davidson Opens Showroom In India

HYDERABAD, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The wait is over. Bike lovers in India shall now have a new reason to rejoice as Harley-Davidson have already opened their showroom in Hyderabad. Reportedly, the Harley-Davidson showroom happens to be the very first one in India from the American heavy weight bike maker.

The decision to open a bike showroom in India was announced in the last year by the officials of Harley-Davidson. However, it took one long year to make their dream gain grounds with reality. Harley-Davidson has already identified major cities of India like Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Mumbai to be the dealers for the bikes. However, Hyderabad was selected to be the very first one to commence the dealing of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Anoop Prakash who happens to be the Managing Director of Harley-Davidson India told the media that following Hyderabad other cities of India shall soon have their own showroom towards the end of the current year. The Harley-Davidson showroom was inaugurated by famous Telugu movie star N. T. Ramarao.

Anoop Prakash also said that Harley-Davidson is the ideal bike for India which has rough terrain that can be handled well by this heavy vehicle. However, the managing director refrained to make any comment on the investment figure for Harley-Davidson’s business in India. He further informed that the company has already launched 12 variants of motorcycles in India which ranges between 883 cc to 1800 cc. The Harley-Davidson bikes will be manufactured in America as usual and shall be shipped over to India. The company has already started bookings for the vehicle and said that there shall be no waiting period. The Harley-Davidson bikes are tagged pricey in between Rs.7 lakh and Rs.35 lakh.
