Hero Honda Retains Number One Position

DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Hero Honda which happens to be one of India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer retains it’s number one position in sales figures. In a recent report, Hero Honda officials have declared the company soaring high with an increment in sales figure by 16.6 percent.

The reports are in accordance to the sales figures of the last month where the two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda Motors Limited witnessed a 16 percent increment in comparison to 2009. Reportedly, the company had sold a total of 4,26,454 units in the month of June itself which happens to be a record for the company. With these sales figures, Hero Honda reaches it’s landmark of 3-lakh sales for the 18th month.

Anil Dua who is the Senior Vice-President in Marketing for Hero Honda Motors Limited told the media that the growth in the sales figures is owing to an all around improvement from all units of Hero Honda.As a matter of fact, Hero Honda’s scooter Pleasure has managed to pull in a sale of 25,000 in the month of June.

Not only that, Hero Honda witnessed an increment by 10.28 percent in the overall sales figures for April-June quarter. The reports include a total sale of 12,34,039 units which is greater than 11,18,987 units which were sold in the last year. Within a span of one year itself Hero Honda has managed to emerge as the only two wheeler brand in India which has witnessed huge success in all variants of scooters and motorcycles. Although its trying to pull up in the scooter segment, it won’t be a tough race for the company if its rival companies have nothing new in their bag to offer.
