How To Get Free Terabyte (1000 GB) Email Account
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkMonday, November 28, 2005
Update: Both the services quoted below have discontinued their free services. At this time I will suggest you opt for the 2.5+ GB GMail account which is free and open to all. It is also expected to last a long time.
There are two services I am aware of which provides free terabyte sized email account. For the idea to sink in the account size is 400 times larger than GMail account which is currently at around 2.5 GB and 1000+ times larger than Yahoo 1GB accounts.
MailNation used to provide free 1TB accounts with the following features:
Free 1000GB
Email Services
Webmail Access
10mb attachment limit!- Address Book
- Instant
Messaging between system users!Spam Preventing Features For Your Protection
WAP Access
- Mobile Device

Message Responders & Forwarders- Multiple Web-Interface Styles & Multiple Languages Supported
- Sophisticated Search For Email Messages
- All emails (outgoing/incoming) are protected by
Norton (R), Mcafee (R) and Sophos (R). -Triple

Hellacious Riders used to provide 1TB accounts for its users (free registration). Their service sounds very homely. To quote:
We have been asked why we would do such a thing. The answer is simple to help people store large amounts of information in a safe and secure environment.
We live in a world where natural and un-natural events take place, that can destroy homes or offices, when that happens many people loose all of their family pictures, their furnishings, office equipment and more.
We decided that Hriders.com should do something more than just provide a place to receive large quantities of emails. What we have done is provide our members with a place to store their family pictures or home videos as well as store pictures of their home or office furnishings, in case something might be lost to an unexpected event.
Homes burn, earthquakes happen, floods and un-natural events take place all the time, and all to often we hear people say, well at least I survived but I lost everything, my family pictures are gone, I did not plan on this ever happening to me so I did not take videos or pictures of my belongs for the insurance company to prove to them that I had a music collection that I have had for over 20 years, or a $10,000 home theater system or 5 computers.
I would suggest that you grab one of these accounts as they may not last long. 1 Terabyte is really a big deal and unless there are using amazing technological innovations in storage media that the world is not aware of, free invitations won’t last long.
Note: I do not use their services nor am I affiliated to either of them.
Note: Be very afraid to give out your personal email address. I would strongly suggest you use disposable email addresses.

Hi, The Hriders service has ofifically been closed down now it seems, and as of March 7th Mailnation accounts are going paid for the one off above people get the pop/smtp access, but there are only some free users having accounts transfered but if you want to keep your account there you will have to pay, but the one off fee I believe is completely reasonable for such a large email box and high level of support you will get. |

Hi, If anyone has problems with a mailnation account, please don’t hesitate to use the helpdesk: https://mailnation.helpserve.com as we are here to help any questions you may have and also what hasn’t been mentioned is that we do offer pop/imap/smtp access for a one off fee of $29.95 plus a very small amount of an annual domain hosting which can be linked into your own 1tb account if you want or seperatley. |
