International Stroke Survey
An international online stroke survey has been launched to gauge the awareness of signs and symptoms of stroke, as well as differences in treatment options available in Europe, Canada and the United States. The results will be used to help improve care for stroke survivors around the world and to raise awareness of this serious, yet treatable condition. You are encouraged to take the survey.
Stroke symptoms need to be addressed quickly to help prevent damage. A prompt response, less than three hours, might also mean a clot-busting drug can be used. All of the symptoms happen quickly.

- Numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
- Sudden confusion or loss of speech
- Sudden trouble seeing or double-vision
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness or loss of balance
