WASHINGTON, (GaeaTimes.com)- McAfee spokes person Joris Evers issued an email which said that the McAfee Researchers have observed a virus affected McAfee Update which hit Windows XP users on Wednesday. Reportedly, the chaos started when Windows XP users were asked to go ahead and perform aMcAfeeupdate exactly which was a flawed one and soon encountered virus that resulted in problems with the WindowsPCs. The mail further said that the MacAfee update was noticed passing the unique testing ofMcAfeeresearch group as the 5958 virus noted at around 2:00 PM GMT+1 (6am Pacific Time).

Besides McAfee has also posted system restore instructions too which shall help to recover and restore all the systems that were affected. Mcafee also said that the system issues thus caused can be cured by simply employing the Windows System Restore to a point prior to the damage and everything will be up and running in a awhile.

The fake Mcafee update that was reported to be an annoying virus which mainly affected the Windows XP SP3 PC’s that witnessed frequent blue screen crash and rebooting of the system which kept on hampering the work of many its professionals. Who worked on the particular operating system.The Mcafee update carried the 5958 virus alert which was detected as svchost.exe which is nothing but a Windows system core file. McAfee Team however, came to rescue soon by extracting the Mcafee update from all Mcafee servers in their network. In reply to the flawed Mcafee update, a new update and restore file 5959 has been issued to one and all who have been affected by the Mcafee update.
