DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Nissan took the wraps off its brand new B-segment eco-friendly car at the Geneva Auto Show 2010. The newly launched Nissan Micra India will soon undergo a superb revamp session with supercharged and direct injection versions that is due to come in a few months from now. So, the standouts at the present glance is quite impressive with the HR12 producing 80 PS and 108Nm.
Nissan Micra India will also be streamlined with supercharged direct injection which will give it ample scope to race 98 PS and 142Nm. Nissan makers boast it high, considering the transmission. They claim that both the engines will be treated to a 5-speed manual & a new CVT transmission. However, records indicate that Nissan has always shown mercy towards CVT for when it comes to a regular 4-speed auto. Infact, it is the new CVT itself which has been the most hyped feature for Nissan Micra India iteration.
Nissan Micra was originally crafted and put to test in Japan. The grand automaker has plans in store for 4 different production hubs all across the globe namely India, Australia, Mexico & Japan. Nissan Micra India will receive its architectural grace from Chennai manufacturing plants. The model roars with a 1.2-litre petrol engine thus making the earth a greener place to live in with less than 100g/km of CO2 emission. Nissan Micra India will also feature a 1.6-litre diesel engine option for all diesel lovers but they shall have to wait until Nissan really comes up with their proposal in actuality. The model will be priced in between Rs.3.5 - 4 Lakhs and shall hit the market by May 2010.
