Toyota Prius On Way To Recovery

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- The series of recalls that landed Toyota motors into deep trouble had tarnished its image to a great extent. It dreamt big with its Prius hybrids but that dream has turned sour after the company had to recall millions of Prius models. The hybrid models including Prius were aimed at wooing the eco-conscious buyers. It started well and the Prius was getting great response in the USA. The recall came as a bolt from the blue for the company. It not only tarnished is image but it also had to pay a hefty fine to the US federal authorities for alleged negligence to inform the customers.
The Toyota Prius quickly became the highest selling hybrid car in the USA after its launch. However, the Prius suffered a setback after the recall was issued owing to pedal problems. Toyota has assured that most of the models that were recalled have been fixed and the customers will be able to use them without incurring any risk soon.
Despite the recall the Prius is doing moderately well. At least it is now selling better than the Lexus hybrid models. The Toyota spokespersons have said that they should have given more priority to Prius. The company is trying is level best to emerge from the massive recall. It is also offering great deals and incentives for the customers of Prius and Lexus models. The company also has plans to revamp its compact car lineup to bounce back. It is looking at the Asian market in this regard.
