SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- A lot of software technologies are used to make and update web pages by the web developers and designers. Any professional web designer cannot do without Adobe Flash which is considered the de facto web animation and video management application for the last few years. It was initially created by Macromedia in the late 199os as animation software. However, it was quickly lapped up by the web designers and programmers for its flexibility and power. After Macromedia was taken over by Adobe Inc, Flash went through some version releases and with each release its capability and versatility increased significantly. The Flash player which is required to view web animation and videos has become a prerequisite for the web browsers. Yesterday, Adobe Inc released a new update to the Flash player.
The Flash player update released recently is a major one and according to the company this will fix two vital security issues. The hackers often try to find vulnerabilities in a computer system through its browser and associated applications. The update is aimed to thwart such attempts and it is applicable for many OSes including Macintosh and Linux. The new version of Adobe Flash player is 10.0.45.2.
The web users can log in to the Adobe site and download the update for the Flash player directly. The company thinks it is important for all users to do so to step up the security of the browsers they use. Apart from the Flash player update, Adobe also released an update for the Acrobat reader, an application used to view PDF documents online.
