Boston Scientific, Activision are big movers
NEW YORK — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq Stock Market Thursday:

Boston Scientific Corp., down 82 cents to $7.47
The medical device maker lost $1.1 billion loss in the fourth quarter and said it would cut up to 1,300 jobs to shave costs.
Alcatel Lucent, down 39 cents to $2.79
Quarterly profit at the French telecommunications maker was due to one-time gains — sales plunged, and it cut its turnaround outlook.
FirstEnergy Corp., down $1.87 to $39.59
The utility company is buying rival Allegheny Energy for about $4.7 billion, creating one of the nation’s largest power companies.

Activision Blizzard Inc., up 97 cents to $11.07
Quarterly results beat analyst expectations, and the video game maker said it would start paying a dividend.
comScore Inc., up $1.82 to $14.84
A pickup in demand and improving corporate budgets helped the Web traffic tracker top Wall Street estimates for its fourth quarter.
LivePerson Inc., up 54 cents to $6.50
