Internet Usage Stats: Asia Leads the World in Internet Usage…

Asia leads in world in total number of people using the internet. 34.5 % of the world’s internet users are Asian. However the percentage of population using internet is low at 8.9 %.

North America has 68% of its users on the internet followed by 36.% penetration in Europe. Europe has the second largest number of internet users. 28.7 % of the world’s internet users are in Europe.

In Asia, Hong Kong has an astounding 70.7 % of its population on the internet per Nielsen//NR. China leads in total number of Asian users at 31.8 %.

India has a comparatively low penetration with 3.6 % of users on the internet who account for a decent 12.1 % of Asian users.
