Intuit nominates David Batchelder as director
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Financial software company Intuit Inc. said David Batchelder will be added to its board’s slate of nominees standing for election at its 2009 annual shareholder meeting.
Batchelder, 60, has been nominated to fill the seat left vacant by former CEO Steve Bennett, the company said late Monday. Bennett was Intuit’s president and CEO from January 2000 to January 2008. He is retiring as a board member to pursue other opportunities.
Batchelder is a founder of Relational Investors, a San Diego-based investment fund.
Shares of Intuit rose 54 cents to $29.44 in early afternoon trading.
